WORLD CHANGERS PRAYER TEAM

It is our belief that prayer changes things.  If this were not true we would not be exhorted and even commanded to pray.  If prayer did not change things prayer would be a useless endeavor.  Our prayer team functions in two different ways.  We have an email prayer alert system to notify prayer team members whenever there are any critical needs, and we meet weekly or more often as the need demands.  We meet at 6pm each Thursday night and ask for Heaven’s intervention in matters international, national, regional, local and within the church.  Often there is a short study on prayer itself in an effort to become more productive when praying.

Anyone wishing to be added to the prayer team can contact us at prayer@trinitychurchbmt.org.

PRAYBEAUMONT PRAYER DRIVE

In early 2003 Pastor Cameron and Pastor Reggie Lloyd began to meet weekly to pray for the city and specifically the pastors and churches of the city.  Over time, the group grew and out of these meetings came the PrayBeaumont Prayer Drive.

When asked about it Pastor Cameron explained it this way:  Each September, beginning in 2003, we approached the mayor of Beaumont and requested that the last Sunday in September be proclaimed PrayBeaumont Day with the goal of getting every church in Beaumont to pray for the city on the Sunday morning.  To cap this day off we have a prayer drive around the city. We mapped out a 40 mile route around the limits of Beaumont and after meeting at the Ford Pavilion pastors in a Sun Travel motor coach lead a caravan of cars around the city praying for the many needs of the city.  Each year the prayer drive has grown.  The caravan behind a motorcycle escort by the Beaumont Police Department is quite impressive as it stretches as far as the eye can see behind the big yellow motor coach.  We have seen many blessings in our city as a result.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER.

At noon on the first Thursday in May each year we co-sponsor and participate in the National Day of Prayer event on the steps of the City Hall.  Led by pastors from across our community we pray for our nation and it’s leaders.  Our worship leader Anita Lewis concludes the event with a rousing song praising God for all of our many blessings as a nation.   Each year the mayor and other city officials are invited to participate and the city is normally well represented at this vital event.
